There’s nothing harder to pull off than a compelling wide angle shot. Jen and Joel from Newmediasoup, will teach the most critical elements of wide-angle shooting technique. They’ll cover strobe placement, best camera settings, and special setups like silhouettes, sunballs, and how to work with a model.

We’ll cover:

WIDE-ANGLE SHOOTING TIPS
•  How to shoot wide-angle underwater
Focus and exposure
What is backscatter and tips to avoid it

•  Shooting with available light
Big scenes, big animals, wrecks, silhouettes

•  Shooting with strobes
Strobe positioning
Reef scenes, mid-sized animals
CFWA (Close Focus Wide Angle)

•  Working with models
Your dive buddy = your model

•  Composition
Move away from the center
Shoot verticals
