Improve your macro underwater photography skills with the Backscatter photo pros at the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort in Bonaire.

With its healthy reefs and incredible diversity of marine life, Bonaire has some of the best macro photo opportunities in the Caribbean. Frogfish, seahorses, and scorpionfish are commonly found along with flamingo tongues, arrow crabs, jawfish and blennies. Crystal clear water with little to no current makes Bonaire a perfect place to work on your macro photography skills.

Beginner and intermediate underwater photographers that are looking to improve their macro UW images. Do you struggle with strobe position? Isolating your subject from the background? Daily classes and one on one help from the Photo Pros

The best way to learn is by shooting and our photo pros will be on location with you to help improve your technique and to correct mistakes. Daily seminars throughout the trip will cover Macro shooting techniques such as:

• Focus techniques
• Exposure techniques
• Strobe placement
• Composition
• Avoiding backscatter

Lightroom and Photoshop techniques for Macro images

In addition to shooting techniques, we’ll be teaching you the best ways to edit your images. Learn how to maximize the potential in your Macro shots using Lightroom and Photoshop.

Topics include:

• Neutralizing Ambient Light
• Backscatter Removal
• Object Removal
• Selective Sharpening
• Black and White Conversion
• Adjusting your Lighting in Post

Learn on-location in a small group setting

This course is limited to 12 guests in order to maximize your one-on-one time with our instructors. Before you arrive, we’ll have scouted out the best dive sites in advance. You’ll start seeing results right away as you apply your newfound knowledge on some of Bonaire’s most beautiful dive sites.
